Chef Salvatore (Sal) and Chef Giuseppe (Peppe),

both Italian immigrants from Southern Italy, teamed up and are thrilled to be serving the beautiful town of Holmdel and the surrounding communities.

Coming from many years of experience in Italian cuisine, they both shared the same dream - opening an Italian restaurant to serve customers

delicious pizza and dishes made from the best quality ingredients. 

 

We often are asked why we chose the name Sale & Pepe.

While sale e pepe means "salt and pepper" in Italian and seems well-suited for an Italian restaurant, the name actually originates from our very own chefs'  names Sal & Peppe, which are both close spellings to Sale & Pepe!
